The performance, by the John Paul II Music Theatre from Sydney, took place at the Embassy on 8 August 2019.

The show was created to promote the work of the greatest Polish composers, coinciding with the Year of Stanisław Moniuszko, considered the father of Polish national opera, as 2019 marks the bicentenary of his birth.

Lovers of Polish classical music had the opportunity to enjoy the pieces of Chopin and Moniuszko brilliantly performed by Krzysztof Małek and Halina Gad as well as become familiar with biographies and discover curiosities from the lives of both composers.

This wonderful evening was possible thanks to: Krzysztof Małek – piano, Halina Gad – soprano, together with the actors and narrators: Bogumiła Filip (also director & artistic director of the theatre), Jolanta Szewczyk and Andrzej Świtakowski.
