    The program of the visit, which took place on 31 July 2018, included courtesy calls on the Governor of Victoria HE The Hon Linda Dessau AC, the Presiding Officers of Parliament - the President of the Legislative Council The Hon Bruce Atkinson and the President of the Legislative Council The Hon Colin Brooks, as well as the Treasurer and the Minister for Resources The Hon Tim Pallas.

    Discussions focused on the forthcoming first state visit of the Polish President to Australia which includes a two-day-program in Melbourne. Ambassador Kołodziejski stressed the importance of Victoria for the Polish community in Australia whose biggest group lives in Melbourne. He also expressed hope for the development of economic and academic relations between Poland and Victoria and invited all his interlocutors to the next edition of the Polish Festival at Federation Square which will be held on 18 November 2018.

    During his visit to Melbourne Ambassador Kołodziejski also paid a working visit to the Shrine of Remembrance where Polish and Australian veterans are going to celebrate on 19 August the 77th anniversary of the relief of the Australian 9th Division by the Polish Independent Carpathian Brigade during the siege of Tobruk of 1941.
